Eggs are laid by female animals of many different species, including birds, reptiles, amphibians, a few mammals, and fish, and many of these have been eaten by humans for thousands of years.

Bird eggs consist of a protective eggshell, albumen (egg white), and vitellus (egg yolk).
Chicken eggs are the most commonly consumed poultry eggs, but also duck and quail eggs also are eaten by humans.

Fresh Chicken Eggs - these eggs are laid by chickens raised in farms.

Chicken eggs have a very high proteic content.
